「這個主題講的是…」受到中文影響，我們很自然會說出“The topic is talking about… ”這樣的句子。中文說這個主題談的是…但英文不會這樣用talk。

（O）It is mentioned in the article that… 文中提到的是…
（O）The article talks about… 這篇文章談的是… 和中文比較接近，指文章探討的是…
這些英文字都是「談」：

Cathy is at a birthday party ─ speaking of birthdays, Eric's is Friday.
凱西去參加生日派對-說到生日，星期五是艾瑞克生日。
I won't be home when you get in from school. Speaking of which, don't forget your keys.
你們從學校回來的輕鋼構屋造價時候我不會在家。說到這個，不要忘記帶鑰匙。
When it comes to…
談到…，涉及…
When it comes to fishing, John is an expert.
講到釣魚，John是專家。
Speaking of… When it comes to… 有時可混用，speaking of…意思比較像「剛好說到這個」，而When it comes to…是談話有主題地談到…部分，例如：
When it comes to sleep, timing is everything. 談到睡眠，正確的時間是最重要的。
（名詞╱動名詞） Aside/Apart 撇開…不談
I know I laugh at him but, joking aside, he's a very clever scientist.
我是會笑他，但撇開玩笑不談，他是一個非常聰明的科學家。
Put something aside字面上就是把一件事物放到一旁，也有撇開某事的意思。
Let's put our differences aside and make a fresh start.
